Your origin and journey as to how you ended up where you are at and working with usurper
It all began with Pac Man on the Atari 5800 and Croc on PlayStation, since then I loved video games and could only dream of working with video games. As the years went by and “adult life” began, I joined a video game magazine as a video game reviewer, after a few years within that magazine I started up my very own video game magazine as a hobby business next to my daily life job. Not only could I work with the games I love, but I also got to create a huge network “behind closed doors” and also build up my personal experience within a lot of different fields that’s relatable to the industry. And because of that, I managed to get an internship here with Caspian Interactive working and learning a lot from the incredible Community Manager Anna who has a lot of experience from the industry.
Working with the Caspian Interactive team with Usurper might be a clichê, but this is a dream coming true for me.
Tell us about your world view in short
Be yourself and kind, and good things might happen to you.
Never give up, even though things might look hard.
Favorite games
Well, I could provide a HUGE list on this question, so I can try to shorten it up to four titles/series. Call of Duty series (Yes I know, shocker!), Assassin’s Creed series, Pokêmon series, Crash Bandicoot (OG), and dammit, okay, let’s add some more to the list. Uncharted series, The Last of Us, Red Dead Redemption 1 & 2, Grand Theft Auto 3 and San Andreas, Croc, Rayman, okay let’s stop there, and say if you are interested in discussion or just talk about games, I’m all up for it !
What do you want to achieve as a game developer/artist
To be resourceful and useful.
What are your inspirations as a gamer
I love collecting figurines and collectibles from the games I play. I can’t help it, it’s expensive and I can’t afford everything. But one day I say to you, one day I should be able to afford one figurine from the Sideshow Collection.
Favorite platform
PlayStation (1-4, not decided what I think about PS5 yet), Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advanced, PC.
Any other information you’d like to share
You don’t always have to have years of education and knowledge to be able to get a chance to work with videogames. You just have to take a risk, work your ass off, sometimes you might feel you never get anything in return, but believe me, just hang in there, remember the three “T’s”
Heroes in your life
I really don’t have personal heroes in my life, I do have people that I’m looking up to, such as Nolan North and Troy Baker. But to be a little cocky, I actually think that I’m the hero in my life, and that is because of what I have been able to achieve so far!
